The interior design of Avalona Camping Resort, situated on the rugged coastline of Pag Island, Croatia, is a carefully orchestrated composition of space, materiality, and atmosphere. Our design approach was rooted in the idea of creating a seamless connection between the built environment and the raw, untamed beauty of the island.
At the heart of the design process was the creation of Sky Twin a duplex custom-designed glamping home for Adria, a renowned manufacturer in the camping field. The mobile home was designed to offer a new approach to camping and meticulously tailored to balance luxury and simplicity.
Drawing inspiration from Pag’s distinctive limestone terrain, windswept landscapes, and the ever-changing hues of the Adriatic, we curated a palette of natural materials—stone, wood, and linen—complemented by a restrained color scheme that enhances, rather than competes with, the surroundings. We designed the interior spaces so that their spatial organization prioritizes openness and fluidity, with interior spaces that extend effortlessly into outdoor living areas, allowing guests to remain immersed in the landscape.
Careful attention was given to the interplay of light and shadow, with strategically placed openings that frame panoramic views while fostering a dynamic interior ambiance throughout the day. The furnishings are minimalist yet warm, selected to provide comfort without excess, reinforcing the camp’s ethos of understated luxury.
Avalona is more than a destination—it is an experience designed to evoke a sense of belonging within nature. Every design choice reflects a commitment to sustainability, authenticity, and the timeless elegance of simplicity.
